Ulta Haul

I mentioned in my latest Gotta Haves that I was going to order the L’Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum because I heard such great things about it. Well I accidentally ordered a few other bits. Here’s what I got:

1. Benefit Fake Up Concealer in Light – I still haven’t found a concealer that I can truly count on, and this one was next on my list to try out.

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent – One of my all time favorite setting powders.

3. Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream in Light/Medium – I’m slowly trialing different drugstore BB Creams. I like that they can be applied quickly without too much blending or fuss.

4. Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Just Peachy – Baby Lips Cherry Me is my go-to easy lip balm, so when the Dr Rescue line was released, I definitely wanted to try it out.

Have you tried any of these products?

  1. LOVE the serum AND the stay matte powder. I tried the Revlon BB cream, but I didn’t enjoy it just because BB creams are not made for me, at all. Keep us updated on what you think about the Fake Up though! P.S. my holy grail concealer is MAC’s prolongwear if you’re looking for a good one!

    • I definitely will do a review on the Fake Up concealer! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve been waiting to go to a counter to be matched again. Luckily we’ll be making a trip to Santo Domingo soon, so I’ll have to check out the prolongwear when I’m there. x

  2. The Stay Matte and Baby Lips are like my absolute staples. I tried the Revlon BB cream, and I had a sort of weird reaction to it. I got good coverage from it but it always felt really warm around my cheeks and nose like I was having an allergic reaction to something in it. I switched to the Maybelline BB cream and haven’t looked back.

    • I really have to start exercising a little self-control. The Holidays are coming up and I won’t have any money to buy presents (for other people)! 🙂 x

  3. Wonderful post! Does the Stay Matte powder cake up or anything? I have dry/oily skin (my skin hates me haha) and that’s always an issue for me with powders!
