Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque

Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque

I take keeping my skin hydrated very seriously— and not only in the winter months, but all year long. I personally feel that hydrated skin is happy skin and who doesn’t want that? The Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque is one of my top go-to skincare products that helps keep my skin happy.

This mask focuses on cooling, rehydrating, calming, and smoothing the skin. It’s oil-free, and uses plant-dervied humectants (helps retain moinsture) like aloe, lavender, and rosewater. I bought this after I saw Caroline Hirons recommend it in this video on Pixiwoo’s Body Talk. She said it was essentially like a “souped-up” Hydraluron, and since I can’t get my hands on Hydraluron, this was the next best thing.

So what sets this mask apart from the rest? It’s just so darn pleasant to use (because it feels and smells amazing) and really versatile. You could put on a thick layer of it for 5-10 minutes and use it as a mask 1-2 times per week, you can put on a thin layer before bed and keep it on overnight, or you can put a small amount under your eyes if you’re like me and you sometimes need a little extra help there in the morning.

A little of this goes a long way and at $22 for a multi-use product that does exactly what it’s supposed to? Well, I couldn’t be happier I decided to purchase this.

Have you tried any skincare products by Aveda?

  1. I saw this mask on Caroline Hirons’ blog as well. I’m in dire need of a good hydrating mask. The cold weather in the Midwest is taking a real toll on my skin. Your review is the last bit of persuasion I needed to pick this one up.
