All Used Up! #5

Empties

I seem to be finishing up a bunch of products lately… This time it’s mostly skincare with some makeup and haircare mixed in. Find out what I thought with mini-reviews and whether or not I would repurchase these items!

1. Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater  — A really great and refreshing facial spray– full review here.

Will I repurchase it?– Yes!!!

2. L’Oreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum — Helps to smooth skin, reduces pore size, reduces hyperpigmenation and reduces fine lines! Check out my full review here.

Will I repurchase it?– Yes, I already have and I highly recommend it.

 3. Beauty Protector: Protect & Detangle Spray — I got this in the December Birchbox and it’s has made combing my wet hair unbelievably easy and it also protects without weighing it down!

Will I purchase it?– Yes, but I’m looking to find a cheaper alternative as the full size of this cost $20. Any recommendations?

4. Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing Treatment — My favorite mask ever! This is my second tub and I was so sad when I used up the last bit. Full review here.

Will I repurchase it?- Yes! It’s already on it’s way 🙂

5. Origins Eye Doctor- Moisture Care For Skin Around Eyes — A nice eye moisturizer that’s supposed to de-puff,  reduce crow’s feet and face dark circles.

Will I repurchase it?- No. It was nice enough, but I didn’t really see it making a difference with anything it claimed to.

6. Caudalie Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Crème  — I got this as a bonus when I purchased the S.O.S. Serum. It’s feels really nice and is definitely very moisturizing.

Will I purchase it?- No. Even though I liked it, the full-size costs $39. I didn’t like it that much!

7. L’Oreal Voluminous Original Mascara  — One of my favorite mascaras I can’t recommend highly enough!

Will I repurchase it?- YES! Next I’m going to give the Carbon one a try.

6. Benefit BADGal Lash Mascara — I got this as a sample when I ordered from Ulta. I really liked it!! It definitely delivers on the Voluminous claim!

Will I purchase it?- Due to the $19 price tag, I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll buy the small size and give it a proper test next to my favorite L’Oreal one.

Have you tried any of these products?

  1. I have used the Voluminous mascara and I liked it. At some point I switched and I’ve been liking the Covergirl Flamed out mascara right now. I’m actually thinking of giving one of those high end mascara’s a try to see how they really compare to the drugstore brands. I have to be in the mood though because the price holds me back! So, far samples that I have been given I have not liked. I like to add volume and length to my fine fringe of lashes haha.

Haven’t tried any of the other products though Very interesting!

    • Glad you liked the post, Anneli! I totally agree about the higher end mascaras being hard to justify, especially since the drugstore have such great mascara offerings! I haven’t tried the Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara, but I will definitely check it out. 🙂 x

  2. I need to try that L’Oreal mascara, so many people love it! Also, would you recommend the Glam Glow for someone that has dry to normal skin with ageing concerns? I want to try it, but I don’t really need any “clearing”.

    • Well there’s a few different formulas of Glam Glow, you can check try the Original formula (black jar) which focuses on exfoliating and tightening things up to make you look more youthful and glowing, OR the new Thirstymud (blue jar) which just came out which focuses more on making your skin look awesome through super hydration. I’m going to give the new one a try as soon as I can justify spending that much 😛 x
