Review: Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System

Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System

As I’ve mentioned (probably one too many times), I have been dealing with breakouts for the past couple months that have been seemingly constant and unstoppable. Although I’ve gotten them mostly under control now, I am still left with some scarring, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture as a result. So I’ve been on the hunt for products that will help remedy these problems and the Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System is the latest thing I’ve tested.

So what is it? Its a two-part system that aims to: balance skin tone, activate surface cell renewal, resurface skins texture, condition the skin to leave it feeling soft and smooth, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and regenerate skins appearance.  So in a nutshell, make your skin look awesome.

The Microdermabrasion Treatment is a deep yellow and has derma-crystals that manually exfoliate your skin. Its the first step and I actually feel a warm reaction when I put it on my face. You message this all over for one minute, avoiding the eye area.

The Peel Activator Serum is clear and without texture. You put it on as a second layer and it actually begins to foam in reaction to the Microdermabrasion Treatment. You message this in for a minute as well, and then rinse it off with warm water and a washcloth.

I have stopped using all other forms of manual or chemical exfoliation and have used this 5 times now. Let me just tell you, from the first time I used it– I was hooked! It really does immediately make your skin look amazing!! I’m pretty sure the Regenerist line is for mature skin, but I don’t even care. This has given me the results I wanted: improved skin tone, texture, appearance, and made my skin soft and smooth. I have been using it twice a week and will continue to do so until I’m completely satisfied with my skin and then I will probably only use it once a week.

So it goes without saying that I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to improve their skin. It has significantly helped me, and it’s the first product I’ve found to deliver such instant amazing results. I can’t really speak for it’s anti-aging claims, but with the way this has delivered on everything else, I wouldn’t doubt it. I also think this would be suitable for all skin types, but I would recommend doing a test if you have sensitive skin.

So if you’re interested in trying out the Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System, you can buy it from Ulta, Target or any drugstore for around $29, but the cheapest I found is on Amazon for just under $20, so buy it there if you want to save some money. The kit comes with 8 weeks worth of product or 16 uses, so its a pretty good value for the cost. Especially since in the research I did before purchasing this, I found several reviews that said it was just as effective as Philosophy’s The Microdelivery Peel which costs $70!

What do you think? Will you be giving this a try?

  1. I’ve been experimenting with my skincare routine lately but Olay Regenerist was one line that I really liked, I used to exclusively use their moisturizer. After using a few high end products, I’m coming back to my drugstore roots, most luxury skincare stuff doesn’t deliver enough results to justify it’s price :-/ Great review, I might try it after I’ve used up all of my current skincare inventory.

    • Thanks! I agree about the prices of some higher end products! I use a mix of high end and drugstore and think the drugstore has some really great offerings too. I’d be happy to hear if you have any recommendations 🙂 x
