This past month was a little crazy. Yes, it’s also crazy that it’s December and we’re only 22 days away from Christmas (yay!/what the heck?). I’ve been working on a new drawing which I hope to finish by the end of this month. I’m really excited about this one and can’t wait to share it with you all. On another note, things are also starting to get really festive around here and I absolutely love it!
Even though this month was nuts, I still had a few standout products that I have been reaching for over and over again. Here’s what I’ve been loving this past month and why:
1. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Polish in Distortion – This is from their Unknown Pleasures Collection which is available through their website here. This is a lovely metallic blue with fine glitter that almost looks black until it catches the light. It’s a really beautiful formula and you get a lot of polish. This was my first polish from OCC, but I definitely plan on picking up a few more now.
2. NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base – I was using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance for a few months, and then went back to this one and remembered why I loved it so much. I did a review on this and you can find the details here.
3. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk – I decided to give this pricey ($22) lip liner a try after hearing basically everyone that I watch on YouTube rave about it. Obviously I think it’s just as great as everyone has been saying — it’s the perfect pinky nude liner that goes on smoothly and lasts for absolute ages. I’ve been mostly wearing this on it’s own, but works well under a lipstick or gloss too. Since it is so pricey, I think I’m going to try and save it for special occasions, but there’s a rumor going around that a pencil from Rimmel in Eastend Snob is a close dupe, so maybe I’ll have to give that one a go too.
4.Lorac Skinny Palette Nude – I featured this in my latest FOTD post and felt kind of bad featuring this palette because it wasn’t available anymore… but guess what? I found it on Amazon for the same $15 bargain price I got it for! Seriously, go buy this palette– if not for you then buy it and give it as a gift because it’s seriously amazing. It looks like I haven’t even used it in the picture, but that just goes to prove how pigmented it is that you only need a little bit. You can find it on Amazon here.
5. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette – This kind of speaks for itself. I felt in love with the Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion (full review here) from the second I swiped it on my cheeks, so when I saw this palette, I didn’t even think twice about buying it. The blushes apply beautifully and blend so easily onto the skin for an amazingly natural, but gorgeous finish. This is my new favorite blush palette.
