Mini Makeup Geek Haul!

Makeup Geek Haul

Despite the rave reviews and affordability of the Makeup Geek product line, for some reason, I’ve yet to try anything from them. When I saw that they just released brand new foiled eyeshadows, I just couldn’t help picking up a few bits to try out, especially because I don’t have any other foiled or “metallic” makeup in my collection. I decided to just start with two shades that I thought would be most wearable, and I may have picked up a few other things as well. Here’s what I bought and why I chose what I did.

Makeup Geek Haul detail

1. MUG Foiled Eyeshadow in Mesmerized $9.99 – I already mentioned that I don’t own any other makeup in my collection like these, but it was really Marlena’s video of her swatching these, that hooked me in. They looked absolutely beautiful and sooo pigmented. I chose the shade Mezmerized because it’s a unique purple-taupe that again, I feel is super wearable, and will really compliment my hazel eyes.

2. MUG Foiled Eyeshadow in Grandstand $9.99 – I chose this shade because it’s rose-gold. Need I say more?

3. MUG Pigment in Afterglow $6.99 – I only own one other pigment and that’s Vanilla from MAC. This particular shade was sold out for ages, not only because it’s a beautiful champagne shade, but because Jacklyn Hill raved about how awesome it was so everyone went out and bought it. I liked that even though this is a pigment, it’s still soft and wearable.

4. MUG Blush in Bliss $12.99 (compact) & $9.99 (pan) – I wanted to try one of the blushes, but I wasn’t sure which shade to go with. I went back and re-watched old YouTube videos from when these launched and decided that Bliss, a light peachy coral, would be the one that would suit me best.

Have you tried anything from Makeup Geek?

Happy Friday everyone! xx
